Sunday's WSL football predictions

All the Women's Super League action takes place on Sunday this weekend and with leading lights Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal all short prices to claim three points, the most competitive of the six fixtures is the early TV offering between Manchester United and Liverpool.

United have had a solid start to the campaign and suffered their first defeat in seven league games when they fell to a 1-0 loss to champions Chelsea in their last action before the international break.

That ended a run of three straight clean sheets, but there looks a strong chance their goal will be threatened by Liverpool, who won both of their matches against the Red Devils last season and finished six points ahead of United to take fourth.

Matt Beard's team have suffered their own recent defeat to Chelsea, but they should be highly motivated to make up for a 1-0 defeat to Everton when they were beaten by a Katja Snoeijs penalty.

That was only the second occasion in their last 17 WSL away games that they have failed to find the net and a 6-1 League Cup victory over Championship side Newcastle in their last outing should fill them with confidence that they can at least find the net at the Leigh Sports Village.
