Preview

The third Women’s Football Weekend takes place this week with an exciting set of WSL fixtures on the menu.

The north London derby gets the ball rolling on Saturday lunchtime with all-conquering Arsenal long odds-on to continue their red hot start to the season with victory over Spurs.

The Gunners have failed to win just once in all competitions this season and the layers aren't expecting any hiccups from them at The Hive with Tottenham 20-1 to cause an upset and the draw available at 7-1.

On Sunday, Everton face Manchester United in the televised early kick-off and new Toffees manager Jean-Luc Vasseur, who won the Champions League with former club Lyon, will be looking for a reaction after his side were beaten by Brighton in his first game in charge.

Sunday's card is headlined by a battle between two sides who were expected to fight for the title this season but have endured contrasting starts to their campaigns.

Champions Chelsea have lost just once - a narrow opening defeat a the hands of Arsenal - in all competitions but rivals Manchester City have been well off the pace, losing three of their opening six games and are currently seventh in the WSL standings.

Chelsea were 7-0 winners in the Champions League on Tuesday and look the only side capable of throwing down a serious title challenge to leaders Arsenal.

Emma Hayes’s Blues beat the Citizens in the delayed FA Cup semi-final a few weeks ago and are fancied to follow up in Sunday's league contest.
