Tuesday's Women's Champions League football predictions

Arsenal Women's up-and-down Champions League campaign has mirrored their season in general and they face what could be a tricky game at Serie A leaders Juventus on Tuesday.

The Gunners will have been lifted by Friday's 5-0 Women's Super League victory over Brighton, but they still have ground to make up after a shaky start and it is the same story on their European adventures.

They beat Valerenga from Norway in their last group game, but a 5-2 defeat to Bayern Munich illustrated that they are perhaps not quite up with the elite as they continue life under interim manager Renee Slegers, who has already said she does not want the permanent post.

So they are in a degree of limbo and Juventus can take advantage as, following their own 2-0 defeat to the Frauen Bundesliga champions, this game will be key in deciding who potentially finishes second.

Juve have won eight and drawn one of their nine league games, which leaves them four points clear at the top of the Italian table and they have kept four straight clean sheets since their defeat to Bayern, so a point could be the most their opponents can earn in Turin.

Manchester City's assignment should be a lot more straightforward against Swedish outfit Hammarby, who Barcelona thumped 9-0 in the last round of matches.

City have posted nine straight wins, including a 2-0 success over Champions League holders Barca, since a 2-2 draw at Arsenal on WSL opening weekend.

However, they did have to fight for a 3-2 success at St Polten last time when manager Gareth Taylor shuffled his pack, so he may be more positive this time.

Jamaican goal-machine Khadija Shaw, who scored a hat-trick in the 4-0 win over Tottenham on Friday, could start having been a substitute for the game in Austria and she can be expected to find the net more than once at the Joie Stadium.
