Much of the Scottish Premiership focus will be on next week's Old Firm contest but the four-point gap between Rangers and Celtic may grow before that Parkhead clash.

A trip to Hearts is a difficult task at the best of times and Celtic will be missing a whole host of players on Wednesday night.

Daizen Maeda and Tom Rogic are away on international duty, David Turnbull and Kyogo Furuhashi are injured, and Yosuke Ideguchi, Liel Abada and Callum McGregor were all forced off during the Bhoys' Scottish Cup tie against Alloa at the weekend.

That aside, the Jambos have lost just one of their 13 matches at Tynecastle this season and that run includes a 2-1 victory over Celtic. Key trio John Souttar, Ben Woodburn and Beni Baningime are all set to return for the visit of Celtic and Hearts could prove a tough team to break down.

Rangers, on the other hand, should hammer a limited Livingston outfit. Livi have already been beaten three times by the Gers this season, by an aggregate scoreline of 8-1.

David Martindale's men managed just a single shot on target in that trio of contests against the Ibrox side and it's difficult to see Livi having any joy against the Rangers rearguard.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side dropped points against Aberdeen in their last league game but they suffered some dubious decisions in that contest and are unlikely to make the same mistake against Livingston.
