Harry Wilson can reinforce Bournemouth's attack
Harry Wilson
Liverpool to Bournemouth, loan
The fact Bournemouth were not offered the option to buy in their loan pursuit of Harry Wilson suggests Liverpool do not want to lose the talented winger permanently and why would they?
The 22-year-old scored 17 goals in a spell at Derby County last term and should thrive in a Cherries side built around pace and under the stewardship of Eddie Howe, who has improved widemen such as Ryan Fraser and Jordan Ibe.
Lucas Joao
Sheffield Wednesday to Reading, undisclosed
Lucas Joao was on the scoresheet for Sheffield Wednesday against Reading in their Sky Bet Championship opener on Saturday but has since switched allegiances.
The Royals desperately need goals if they are to avoid the drop to England's third tier but a return of 29 goals in 128 appearances at Hillsborough does little to inspire confidence from Reading fans.
Gary Cahill
Chelsea to Crystal Palace, free transfer
Premier League experience is a vital asset in a defender for top-flight clubs and Gary Cahill looks like a shrewd piece of business from the Eagles.
Having won eight major honours with Chelsea, he brings with him a winning mentality cultivated at the highest level and can marshal a defence who shipped 53 Premier League goals last term.
He is a threat at the other end of the pitch from corners and has a good relationship with manager Roy Hodgson, developed during his time playing for England.
Neal Maupay
Brentford to Brighton, undisclosed
Brighton have finally brought in a prolific striker to share the goalscoring burden with veteran forward Glenn Murray.
Youngster Neil Maupay's performances with Brentford have long suggested he is beyond the level of the Sky Bet Championship, netting 41 goals in 95 league matches in England.
At just 22 years old, he represents a value purchase at a reported £20 million and his departure leaves a gaping hole in a Brentford team who had chances and plenty of possession against Birmingham on Saturday but could not find the back of the net.
Harry Maguire
Leicester to Manchester United, £80 million
It's not the surprise of the summer that Harry Maguire has signed for Manchester United but it looks a solid and necessary piece of business by Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The 54 goals United conceded in the Premier League last season was their worst total in a 38-game season and Maguire alongside Victor Lindelof, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw at full-back should form a decent unit.
Maguire will be criticised for costing even more than Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk, despite being an inferior player, but if he bring some much-needed solidity to their backline it will be well worth it.
