Best Premier League bet

Wolves vs Ipswich
3pm Saturday

Monday's 2-1 Premier League defeat at West Ham increased the pressure on Wolves, who face a colossal clash with fellow strugglers Ipswich this weekend.

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil will be in the home dugout at Molineux, but a slip-up against the Tractor Boys would surely mean the end of his time at the club.

Both teams are in the relegation zone, four points from safety, but the tension of the fixture may not lead to a dour, low-scoring contest.

Wolves have the worst defensive record in the top flight, conceding 38 goals in 15 matches. However, they have also scored 23 goals – the same number as sixth-placed Aston Villa – and forwards Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen are in fine form.

Ipswich's only victory since returning to the Premier League was a shock 2-1 success at Tottenham last month and they will regard the trip to Molineux as a winnable fixture.

The Tractor Boys' away results include a 4-3 loss at Brentford and 4-1 defeats at Manchester City and West Ham, while over 3.5 goals has been a winning bet in five of Wolves' last seven league matches.

Best EFL bet

Colchester vs Newport County
3pm Saturday

Colchester have kept clean sheets in their last four matches, including League Two victories over Grimsby and Swindon and a 2-0 EFL Trophy win against AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday.

The Essex club have a great opportunity to claim another win to nil when they host struggling Newport County, who have failed to score in five of their last eight league matches.

The Exiles needed a 97th-minute penalty to pinch a 2-2 draw at Wimbledon in their last outing and three of their previous four games had ended goalless.

Nelson Jardim's men managed only two shots on target in the stalemate at Notts County on November 23 and they may struggle on their long trip to Colchester.

The hosts have lost only one of their last ten matches in 90 minutes and they were resounding 4-0 winners against Swindon in their previous home league fixture, when they had ten shots on target to their visitors' two.

Best European bet

Real Mallorca vs Girona
LaLigaTV & Premier Player, 3.15pm Saturday

Liverpool needed a 63rd-minute Mohamed Salah penalty to earn a gritty 1-0 Champions League win at Girona on Tuesday and the Spanish side can expect another tight contest when they travel to Real Mallorca in La Liga.

Girona have failed to score in four of their last five fixtures, including a 1-0 defeat at Sturm Graz in Europe and a surprise Copa del Rey exit against fourth-division Logrones.

Hosts Mallorca have lost three of their last six league games to nil and had 0-0 draws at home to Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao earlier in the campaign, so backing one or both teams not to score looks like a good bet.

Middlesbrough
Boro had scored 19 goals in their previous six games before Tuesday's defeat at Championship favourites Leeds and they should be too strong for visitors Millwall

Blowout

The Tykes are winless in six matches in all competitions and look too short for their trip to Exeter, who are just three points behind them in League One
