Scottish football predictions
All eyes will be on the Scottish capital on Thursday when Hearts and Hibernian clash in the William Hill Premiership at Tynecastle and the visitors look a bet to leave Gorgie with at least a point.
David Gray’s men impressed in a 3-1 defeat of Aberdeen last weekend, and after what has been a pretty shambolic campaign, the Hibees finally appear to be moving in the right direction.
Hibs have won three of their last four Premiership matches, putting up expected goals tallies of 2.72, 2.31, 4.79 and 1.44 along the way and Gray’s men look to be on the up.
Hearts haven’t impressed under Neil Critchley and the Jambos were pretty fortunate to down a poor St Johnstone side 2-1 last time out.
It’s six Premiership matches without a victory for Aberdeen, who have yielded second-place to Rangers and the Dons could be in trouble again when they head to Rugby Park to face Kilmarnock.
An error-strewn second half saw Jimmy Thelin’s men beaten 3-1 by Hibs at Pittodrie on Saturday and the Reds are struggling to recapture the form which saw them win ten of their opening 11 Scottish top-flight fixtures.
Aberdeen have scored only three goals in their last four games and the lack of a finishing touch has been compounded by some poor defensive performances.
Kilmarnock have lost just one of their last seven fixtures at Rugby Park, that defeat came against the champions Celtic, and the gap between Killie and Aberdeen isn’t anywhere near as wide as the league table suggests.
Derek McInnes’s men look a good draw no bet option against a Dons side who remain without injured duo Vicente Besuijen and Jack Milne.
