Scottish football predictions

Falkirk have opened up a six-point lead at the top of the William Hill Scottish Championship and a win over second-placed Livingston would put them firmly in the driving seat to win the title.

However, Livi have lost only one of their last 14 home games in all competitions and picked up a crucial away win at Hamilton last weekend.

The last three meetings between these two sides ended all-square and the draw looks like a big runner again.

Partick Thistle have the best defensive record in the Scottish second tier, thanks largely to the efforts of on-loan Watford goalkeeper Myles Roberts, who has caught the eye with a string of excellent performances.

The Jags entertain a Hamilton side sweating on the fitness of star striker and the division’s top scorer Oli Shaw, who has scored seven goals this term but missed Accies' loss at home to Livingston last weekend.

The visitors may struggle to trouble Roberts and the Thistle defence in Shaw's absence and a low-scoring affair could ensue.

Just one of Partick's last nine games has featured more than two goals and it could be another grind at Firhill.
