Scottish football predictions

Kilmarnock and Dundee meet for the third time this season and the fifth time since March and if we know anything about these two it's that they like to put on a treat.

Both teams have scored in 12 of the last 13 showdowns between them, including each of this season's dust-ups, both at Dens Park, which yielded a 3-2 win apiece.

Eleven of those last 13 meetings have produced three goals or more, which all adds up to over 2.5 goals and both teams to score as a bet for their William Hill Scottish Premiership clash.

Sunday boasts a pair of huge contests with Hearts taking on Aberdeen after Rangers have visited St Johnstone.

The Gers head to Perth on the back of a sensational 4-1 win at Nice in the Europa League and now need to start bringing their fantastic European form into domestic assignments.

They should enjoy playing Saints, who they have already beaten 2-0 twice this term, once in the League Cup, once in the league.

Rangers also beat St Johnstone three times last season, all with clean sheets. Another Gers win to nil is on the cards.

It's the third round in the Scottish Cup with Championship and League One clubs entering the fray and it's the all-League One clash between Arbroath and Queen of the South at Gayfield which stands out as the best betting opportunity.

Queens' fans have to cast their minds back to last March for the last time they won away at a League One side.

Since a 3-1 win at part-timers East Kilbride in the League Cup in the summer they have played eight away games and failed to find the net in seven of those.

They have injuries to key strikers hence their poor scoring record, are four points adrift of Arbroath in the table, and the hosts' price looks generous.
