Scottish football predictions

Woeful travellers Queen of the South look to be well worth taking on in Fife against Kelty Hearts in William Hill League One.

The Doonhamers are more than decent on their own Palmerston patch but as soon as they head out of Dumfries they go to pieces.

Queens, who lost 5-1 at home to Kelty when they last met in October, have taken just two points from a possible 24 on the road this season, and failed to score in six of those eight games.

Kelty warmed up for the assignment by beating Arbroath 3-2 on Tuesday night.

Newly crowned League Cup winners Celtic should have little trouble holding on to their lead at the top of the Premiership – they are at Dundee United on Sunday (Sky Sports Football, midday).

Indeed, it may well be worth betting they actually stretch their advantage with second-placed Aberdeen no good thing at home to Hibernian.

Hibs have won two of their last three after holding the Dons to a 3-3 draw at Easter Road at the end of November.

As for Aberdeen, if they haven't hit the buffers they are certainly grinding to a halt with no wins in five. 

The Edinburgh club can avoid defeat.
