Scottish football predictions

With a reduced card thanks to the Scottish League Cup final tomorrow, the highlight of the three Scottish Premiership games on Saturday is the visit of fourth-placed Dundee United to Motherwell, who sit fifth.

The Tangerines are unbeaten in their last five games and were unlucky not to take all three points against Kilmarnock last week, conceding a 95th-minute equaliser from the spot.

They face a Motherwell side who have lost three of their last four home league games and could be vulnerable again.

The Steelmen have a congested treatment room, including veterans Stephen O’Donnell and Paul McGinn.

Take the stalemate out of the equation in what should be a competitive affair by backing Dundee United in the draw-no-bet market.

Hibs had nine shots on target in their 3-0 loss to Celtic last weekend and beat Motherwell 3-0 the week before.

They may finally have turned a corner and are fancied to record a high-scoring win against Ross County, who have conceded 12 in their last four outings.

The Hibees’ last five games have gone over 2.5 goals and a repeat of that looks likely in what would be just their third league win of the campaign.
