Saturday's Scottish football predictions

Peterhead are battling it out for top spot in William Hill Scottish League Two and should be able to get the better of strugglers Stranraer when the teams meet on Saturday.

The Blue Toon lost a crucial encounter with title rivals Elgin last time out but were reduced to ten men in that clash and they can bounce back with a win.

Stranraer have to embark on one of the longest journeys in Scottish football for this away trip and have seen plenty of upheaval in their squad of late, losing tricky winger Elliot Dunlop and goalkeeper Jacob Pazikas, who have both been recalled by their parent clubs.

That is a big blow for a team with a small squad and the lowest-scorers in the division look set for another defeat.
