Preview

Five weeks after Partick went to Hamilton and banged in six, the sides meet again at Firhill and the evidence suggests not a lot has changed since then.

Thistle have hardly put a foot wrong since that 6-1 win, going five games unbeaten with clean sheets in the lot.

Last week's 4-0 romp at Ayr, in which Brian Graham grabbed his eighth and ninth goals of the campaign, saw Partick up to fourth in the table and maintain the charge that makes them look like the promotion contenders they should have been from the off.

They boast the best goal difference in the Championship, Hamilton boast the worst, and it's easy to feel that Thistle will win this comfortably with a few goals into the bargain.

In League One, East Fife can win the basement battle at Clyde.

Clyde beat the Fifers 2-0 when they last met in October but since then East Fife have picked up with a 4-1 win over Cove and draw at Queen's Park the headline acts. They were also competitive in a narrow defeat to leaders Airdrie last weekend.

Clyde, in contrast, are without a win in six in which they have managed only one goal – through David Goodwillie, inevitably – from open play.
