Rangers unlikely to be a match for Glasgow rivals Celtic

More Old Firm success likely for Hoops

Sky Sports Football, midday Saturday

Brendan Rodgers has triumphed in six of his seven Old Firm games and there is little to suggest that his Celtic side cannot comprehensively beat Rangers when the pair meet at Parkhead.

The Ladbrokes Premiership leaders, who are eight points clear and have lost just once all season, are 4-11 to delight their fans with another Old Firm success.

And it's hard to make a case for Rangers, who have looked an average outfit and been highly inconsistent under Graeme Murty, who has been given the Ibrox reins until the end of the season.

Hearts showed the way forward when they pressed the Bhoys for 90 minutes on their way to a 4-0 victory earlier this month.

However there has to be a concern that with several old-timers in the team such as Niko Kranjcar and Bruno Alves, Rangers simply will not have the legs to do that.

Mark Walker's Scottish picks

There is a decent chance that this could be Moussa Dembele's last game for Celtic before a projected big-money move to an English club when the transfer window opens on Monday.

But Rodgers has so many options that it is difficult to see their arch-rivals being able to cope and it could be another day for the blue half of Glasgow to forget.
