Match preview
Queens Park Rangers are the only side to have netted in every Championship game this season and it could be another high-scoring affair when they clash with Luton on Friday night.
A run of three away games in their last four has seen Mark Warbuton’s poor travellers take just five points from their last 12 available. But with a run of ties at home they will be looking to kick on again in a tight playoff picture.
Indeed, that picture is so tight that just two points separate QPR in sixth and their opponents Luton in 11th.
The Hatters’ recent form also leaves a bit to be desired.
The two wins in their last five games have come against strugglers Hull and injury-hit Middlesbrough. In that run, Nathan Jones’ side have also been defeated by Preston and Stoke, and had to come from behind twice to nick a 2-2 draw against Derby.
That recent mixed form doesn’t bode well when contrasted with QPR’s run at home.
The R’s have won four of their last six games in west London, including victories over Coventry and Blackburn.
QPR’s single loss at Loftus Road this season came courtesy of a 93rd-minute winner for Bristol City in a game the home side dominated.
Only runaway top scorers Fulham and Bournemouth have netted more than QPR’s 28 this season and as a result, the R’s are fancied to continue their good home form in a match with three or more goals.
Key stat
QPR are the only side to score in every Championship game this season.
