Team news
Wolves
Ruben Neves is set to return from suspension but Daniel Podence and Marcal are still isolating after positive Covid tests. Jonny, Pedro Neto, Willy Boly, Hugo Bueno and Yerson Mosquera are long-term absentees.
Liverpool
Naby Keita and Joe Gomez are back in training and in contention to feature but Roberto Firmino, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott are sidelined.
Match preview
Diogo Jota spent just over three years at Wolves, helping the club achieve promotion to the Premier League in 2018, but he has since taken his career to the next level at Liverpool and can mark his latest return to Molineux with a goal.
The Portuguese talent has evolved into a first-choice forward at title-chasing Liverpool and is among the Premier League's top scorers this term with eight strikes in 13 matches.
His exceptional strike in Liverpool's 4-1 demolition of Merseyside rivals Everton last time out made it four goals in three matches and he approaches the game in the Midlands in excellent form.
The Reds are unsurprisingly around 4-9 to win this contest and if they do so, one of Jota or Mo Salah is likely to have had something to do with it.
And Jota looks the better bet to break the deadlock in this fixture at 5-1, having done so when these clubs met at Molineux in the league back in March this year.
Key stat
Diogo Jota has scored six goals in his last six starts for Liverpool.
