Match preview

There's a remarkable lack of faith in Wolves right now with Nuno Espirito Santo's men around the 5-2 mark – for a home game against a side below them in the table.

It says much for how far Wolves' stock has fallen that they are outsiders at home to a Brighton side who are still not mathematically safe from the drop and hardly pulling up trees themselves.

Wolves have basically been on the decline since top scorer Raul Jimenez's injury in November. Since that 2-1 triumph at The Emirates they have won just six of 24.

Last week was poor - a 4-0 home drubbing by Burnley followed by a 1-1 draw at West Brom, where they were the better team but not by much.

Brighton will be more confident, and defensively they look super-tight with one goal conceded in their last four matches. Shane Duffy returns from his loan stint at Celtic yet Brighton haven't missed him at all.

Where both team struggle is in front of goal. Wolves are scoring at less than a goal a game while 12 of Brighton's last 17 have copped for under 2.5 backers.

Indeed, each of them have had 13 contests produce no more than one goal. There's definitely a sense that a low-scoring clash is on the cards although much the same was said when they met at the Amex in January and finished up sharing the points in a six-goal thriller.

That looks more and more like an aberration and a low score should still be more likely than not.

Key stat

Albion are the Premier League's stalemate kings with 13 draws.
