Crystal Palace vs Newcastle predictions

Ian Wilkerson predicts: 2-1 Newcastle

Crystal Palace have had some encouraging results in the last few weeks, but despite a 2-2 draw at Aston Villa last week, it is worth remembering that they were poor when they fell 2-0 to Fulham in their last game at Selhurst Park. Newcastle had a shocker on Monday when they were comfortably beaten 2-0 at home to West Ham, but Eddie Howe's side proved they can play on the road when they won 3-1 at Nottingham Forest the last time they were on their travels and they can take a maximum return from their trip to London.

Brentford vs Leicester predictions

Ian Wilkerson predicts: 3-1 Brentford

Leicester will head to London without sacked manager Steve Cooper and the Foxes' defence could be in for a difficult time at Brentford. The Bees have scored 18 goals in their six Premier League matches this season and have netted as many times this term as champions Manchester City, but we can still expect Leicester to find the net, which they have done in five of their six away league games this term.

Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich predictions

Ian Wilkerson predicts: 1-1 draw

Nottingham Forest, who got their campaign off to a great start, need to brush themselves down after league losses to Newcastle and Arsenal, and three home points against Ipswich are not guaranteed. The Tractor Boys gained a memorable win at Tottenham in their last away game. A 1-1 draw with Manchester United last week will have increased confidence levels further and we could see a repeat of that scoreline on the banks of the River Trent.

West Ham vs Arsenal predictions

Ian Wilkerson predicts: 2-2 draw

West Ham's 2-0 win at Newcastle on Monday was a big boost and they have taken seven points from their last three home games. They could earn a draw against London rivals Arsenal, who, despite a 5-1 win in the Champions League at Sporting Lisbon in midweek, have failed to claim a victory in their last four league away matches.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa predictions

Ian Wilkerson predicts: 3-1 Chelsea

There is plenty of optimism around Stamford Bridge where Chelsea have been defeated just twice in their last 18 league games. The fact they have not kept a home clean sheet in the league this season should encourage visitors Aston Villa, but Enzo Maresca's side should still get the better of the Midlanders, who have lost their last two league away games at Tottenham and Liverpool.

Liverpool vs Manchester City predictions

Ian Wilkerson predicts: 3-1 Liverpool

The Reds have dropped just four points this season and they can take a big step towards winning the title against champions Manchester City, who have lost their last five league and cup matches. City have the attacking ability to threaten, but their defending has been a big concern recently so expect Liverpool to come out on top.
