Crystal Palace vs Manchester City predictions

Ian Wilkerson predicts: Crystal Palace 0-2 Manchester City

Life returned to normal for Manchester City on Wednesday when they secured a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest to drag themselves out of their worrying slump.

Faith should be kept in Pep Guardiola's team to build on that success when they head to Crystal Palace. The Eagles gained a valuable win at Ipswich on Tuesday but they have scored just four goals in seven home league games this term and they may fail to cause the champions problems.

Brentford vs Newcastle predictions

Brentford have dropped just two points from their seven games at the Gtech Community Stadium and this looks set to be another high-scoring game in London.

Expect Newcastle to play their part as they have failed to score in just one of their seven league road games, but this could prove a tough trip, particularly as they were involved in a pulsating 3-3 draw with leaders Liverpool on Wednesday.

Aston Villa vs Southampton predictions

Ian Wilkerson predicts: Aston Villa 3-1 Southampton

Aston Villa ended a run of five games without a win when they posted a 3-1 success over Brentford on Wednesday and there looks a decent chance they can record a win by a similar scoreline when bottom side Southampton head to Villa Park.

The Saints are still licking their wounds after a 5-1 defeat to Chelsea, but they have scored in eight of their last ten top-flight outings, so they could make their mark.

Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest predictions

Ian Wilkerson predicts: Manchester United 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Three defeats in their last four matches mean Nottingham Forest's promising start has been halted to a degree and they could be in for a difficult evening at Old Trafford after consecutive 3-0 away defeats to Arsenal and Manchester City.

United can pick themselves up from their 2-0 loss at the Emirates and should be confident after their 4-0 win over Everton in their last home match.

Fulham vs Arsenal predictions

Ian Wilkerson predicts: Fulham 1-3 Arsenal

Fulham remain inconsistent and although they posted a 3-1 win over Brighton on Thursday, they look to be up against it when they face an Arsenal team who have scored 15 goals in their last four matches.

The Cottagers have scored in 13 of their 14 league games this season and can get on the scoresheet, but the Gunners' class should tell.

Tottenham vs Chelsea predictions

Ian Wilkerson predicts: Tottenham 1-3 Chelsea

Tottenham were poor in their 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Thursday and it is difficult to see Ange Postecoglou's makeshift defence coping with a tough examination from Chelsea.

The Blues have won seven of their last nine games on the road and should be relied upon to claim another three points.
