Ipswich vs Southampton

No Premier League side has taken fewer shots this season than Ipswich.

The Tractor Boys have registered 208 attempts on goal, almost half that of Manchester City, who have fired off a league-leading 395.

So it is notable that two of Ipswich's January signings, Jaden Philogene and Julio Enciso, are extremely shot-heavy forwards.

Enciso, who has joined on loan from Brighton, is perhaps lucky to be available to face Southampton on Saturday after a mistimed challenge against Liverpool last weekend.

The Paraguayan averages 4.86 shots per 90 minutes since arriving in England ahead of the 2022-23 season ā€“ no player has topped that mark this campaign ā€“ and even-money quotes that he has three against a Southampton side who have allowed 417 attempts on goal are worth taking.

Newcastle vs Fulham

Chris Kavanagh has dished out 77 yellow and four red cards in 15 Premier League matches this season, an average of 5.4 cards per game, and he may be kept busy once more when Fulham visit Newcastle on Saturday.

Newcastleā€™s opponents have picked up 66 cards in matches against the Toon this term, the third-most of any team in the Premier League, and the Magpiesā€™ physicality and trickery can make them a nightmare to keep tabs on.

Backing Kavanagh to show at least five cards at St James' Park appeals at a shade of odds-on.

Wolves vs Aston Villa

Morgan Rogers continued his breakthrough campaign with a fabulous hat-trick in Aston Villa's 4-2 win over Celtic in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The former Middlesbrough star is extremely difficult to knock off the ball and often drags defenders out of position which in turn opens up space for his teammates.

Jacob Ramsey has been a particular benefactor of that ability recently.

The 23-year-old registered six goals and seven assists in a breakout 2022-23 campaign but has struggled with injuries and consistency since.

Now back at full strength and with Rogers and Ollie Watkins thriving around him, Ramsey looks back to his best and has scored one goal and created another two in his last two appearances.

That spells trouble for a Wolves side who have conceded 52 goals in 23 Premier League games this season.
