Saturday's Premier League 3pm predictions

Bournemouth vs Manchester City predictions

Bournemouth caused a stir when beating Arsenal in their last home Premier League fixture, but the Cherries may struggle to repeat those heroics against unbeaten champions Manchester City.

Andoni Iraola wants his team to be aggressive without the ball and the pace and power of Antoine Semenyo, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson certainly gives Bournemouth hope of causing City problems when in possession.

But Pep Guardiola will be well aware of the threat the hosts carry on the counter and City have dominated this fixture, winning all 14 top-flight meetings with the Cherries.

Despite having to deal with injuries to some of their most valuable assets, City continue to churn out results and they start the weekend a point clear of Liverpool at the top.

That said, they have conceded in seven of their nine league matches this term while Bournemouth have netted consolation strikes in five of their last seven defeats against the champions.

Bournemouth vs Manchester City team news

Bournemouth: Kepa, Luis Sinisterra and Alex Scott have been ruled out. Philip Billing has recovered from illness but Dango Ouattara is a doubt.
Manchester City: Pep Guardiola said he has only 13 senior players available with Rodri, Oscar Bobb, Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker, Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish all sidelined. Manuel Akanji, Josko Gvardiol and Savinho all sustained injuries in the midweek EFL Cup defeat at Tottenham and must be assessed.

Bournemouth vs Manchester City predicted line-ups

Bournemouth (4-2-3-1): Travers; Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kerkez; Cook, Christie; Semenyo, Tavernier, Kluivert; Evanilson.
Manchester City (4-1-4-1): Ederson; Lewis, Stones, Dias, Gvardiol; Kovacic; Nunes, Bernardo, Gundogan, Foden; Haaland.

Bournemouth vs Manchester City key stat

Manchester City have won 16 of their last 18 Premier League games.

Ipswich vs Leicester predictions

Ipswich and Leicester played out a pair of 1-1 draws in the Championship last season but their opening meeting in the Premier League should be richer in entertainment.

The Tractor Boys remain without a win since returning to the top flight and they suffered a bitter blow last weekend when they were undone by a Bryan Mbeumo cross in injury-time in a 4-3 defeat at Brentford.

Kieran McKenna’s side have drawn four of their opening nine matches, which includes a 2-2 stalemate at home to Aston Villa, but there have certainly been positives to take as they seek their first three-point haul.

Leicester, meanwhile, have settled into their stride better and their only two defeats in their last six top-flight fixtures have come at Arsenal and against Nottingham Forest.

But both teams have scored in eight of the Foxes' nine fixtures, which have featured a total of 30 goals, and they are unlikely to make things easy for themselves.

The net has also bulged at both ends in six of Ipswich’s nine league fixtures, which includes away defeats at Manchester City and West Ham and in draws with Villa and Fulham.

Ipswich vs Leicester team news

Ipswich: Chiedozie Ogbene is expected to miss the rest of the season and Harry Clarke is suspended. Late decisions will need to be made on Sam Morsy, Massimo Luongo and Ben Johnson but Omari Hutchinson and Dara O'Shea are fit to feature.

Leicester: Abdul Fatawu is a major doubt and the match may come too soon for Patson Daka. Hamza Choudhury, Nathaniel Opuku and Jakub Stolarczyk remain sidelined.

Ipswich vs Leicester predicted line-ups

Ipswich (4-2-3-1): Muric; O'Shea, Woolfenden, Burgess, Davis; Phillips, Cajuste; Burns, Chaplin, Szmodics; Delap.
Leicester (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Pereira, Okoli, Faes, Justin; Ndidi, Winks; Buonanotte, El Khannouss, Mavididi; Vardy.

Ipswich vs Leicester key stat

Both teams to score & over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in all four of Leicester's Premier League away matches.

Liverpool vs Brighton predictions

Arne Slot took another big step towards landing silverware in his debut season at Anfield on Wednesday as Liverpool progressed past Brighton 3-2 in the League Cup.

And the Dutchman will be hoping for a repeat performance from the Reds when the pair reconvene on Merseyside on Saturday.

It is hard to oppose Liverpool, who have won 12 of their 14 matches under Slot, but there are reasons to believe Brighton can get on the scoresheet at Anfield.

The Seagulls have enjoyed a strong start to the season under their own new boss, Fabian Hurzeler, losing just one Premier League match under the German and they have already netted a combined six goals in games against Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea this term.

Danny Welbeck, Kaoru Mitoma and Georginio Rutter have the talent to hurt any side and given both teams have scored in the past four meetings between this pair, it could pay to back the Seagulls to net in defeat.

Liverpool vs Brighton team news

Liverpool: Diogo Jota, Alisson and Harvey Elliott are out until the end of the month while Federico Chiesa is still struggling for fitness and will not feature.
Brighton: Solly March, James Milner and Adam Webster are out. Matt O’Riley and Joao Pedro should return to the squad but Yankuba Minteh and Lewis Dunk face fitness tests.

Liverpool vs Brighton predicted line-ups

Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Jones, Gakpo; Nunez
Brighton (4-2-3-1): Verbruggen; Veltman, Van Hecke, Igor, Estupinan; Baleba, Hinshelwood; Adingra, Rutter, Mitoma; Welbeck

Liverpool vs Brighton key stat

Both teams have scored in each of the last four meetings between these sides.

Nottingham Forest vs West Ham predictions

A controversial late penalty handed West Ham a 2-1 win over Manchester United and three much-needed points last Sunday.

Irons boss Julen Lopetegui has endured a rocky start at the London Stadium so will be hoping that victory is a springboard for further success.

However, the Hammers rode their luck in that contest. Diogo Dalot missed an open goal, Alejandro Garnacho hit the woodwork and the Red Devils’ front four combined for ten shots in east London.

They will have to be wary at the City Ground, therefore, as Nottingham Forest have started the season strongly, flying high in seventh and losing only one of their opening nine matches.

The hosts are deserved favourites given the disjointed nature of West Ham's performances under Lopetegui, but a spate of injuries to some of Forest’s key men may give the Hammers a fighting chance of claiming a point in Nottingham.

The Reds will be without midfield trio Ibrahim Sangare, Danilo and James Ward-Prowse while seven-goal striker Chris Wood and star man Morgan Gibbs-White are doubts.

Nottingham Forest vs West Ham team news

Nottingham Forest: Ibrahim Sangare and Danilo remain sidelind and loanee James Ward-Prowse is ineligible to face his parent club. Morgan Gibbs-White, Jota Silva, Elliot Anderson and Chris Wood face late fitness tests.
West Ham: Niclas Fullkrug is injured and Mohammed Kudus is suspended. Crysencio Summerville could start after his positive impact from the bench against Manchester United.

Nottingham Forest vs West Ham predicted line-ups

Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1): Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Yates, Dominguez; Elanga, Hudson-Odoi, Sosa; Awoniyi
West Ham (4-1-4-1): Fabianski; Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson; Alvarez; Bowen, Rodriguez, Paqueta, Summerville; Antonio

Nottingham Forest vs West Ham key stat

Nottingham Forest have been involved in a league-high four draws this season.

Southampton vs Everton predictions

Tuesday’s 3-2 League Cup win over Stoke provided some much-needed respite for a Southampton side who had lost their past four matches.

However, the fact they needed an 88th-minute winner to beat Championship opposition suggests back-to-back victories will not be forthcoming against Everton, who have gone five games without defeat.

The Toffees have drawn three times in that run and needed a 94th-minute equaliser from Beto to rescue a point at home to Fulham last Saturday. They have won just one of their last 15 Premier League games on the road and were held by Saints in the League Cup before losing on penalties, suggesting a win could prove beyond them too.

Southampton narrowly lost 1-0 at Manchester City last Saturday while Nathan Fraser's 73rd-minute dismissal ultimately cost them against Leicester.

There was promise in those defeats, however, and they should have enough to hold on for a point against the improving Toffees.

The contrasting styles of the two sides could cancel each other out and the points may be shared at St Mary's.

Southampton vs Everton team news

Southampton: Gavin Bazunu, Ross Stewart and Will Smallbone are injured and Nathan Fraser is a doubt.
Everton: Tim Iroegbunam, James Garner and Armando Broja are out but Sean Dyche is hopeful that Dwight McNeil and Abdoulaye Doucoure will be fit. Jarrad Branthwaite made his much-anticipated return last week and could start.

Southampton vs Everton predicted line-ups

Southampton (4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; Walker-Peters, Harwood-Bellis, Bednarek, Taylor; Ugochukwu, Downes; Dibling, Lallana, Fernandes; Archer
Everton (4-4-1-1): Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Harrison, Doucoure, Gueye, Ndiaye; McNeil; Calvert-Lewin

Southampton vs Everton key stat

Everton have won only one of their last 15 away Premier League games.
