Saturday's Premier League 3pm predictions

Arsenal vs Leicester predictions

Arsenal were limited to five shots and 22.8 per cent possession in last Sunday's 2-2 draw at Manchester City but they can expect to be on the front foot against Leicester, who are still striving for their first league win of the campaign.

The Gunners were gutted to concede a late leveller at the Etihad but they remain unbeaten with only two points separating them from Pep Guardiola's side.

Taking four points from trips to Tottenham and City was a decent outcome for Mikel Arteta's men, and a return to winning ways looks highly likely against the Foxes, who drew 1-1 with Everton last weekend.

Leicester have not lost any match by more than one goal but their trip to the Emirates is a step up from what they have faced this season and it could turn into a damage-limitation exercise.

Patience may be required from Arsenal, who have not looked as free-flowing as in recent seasons.

However, the Gunners have plenty of potential match-winners, including Kai Havertz, who has notched six times in his last six home appearances.

Arsenal vs Leicester team news

Arsenal: David Raya and Jurrien Timber are doubts and Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko miss out.
Leicester: Patson Daka, Jannik Vestergaard and Jakub Stolarczyk are the only absentees for the visitors.

Arsenal vs Leicester predicted line-ups

Arsenal (4-4-2): Neto; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Saka, Partey, Rice, Martinelli; Havertz, Jesus.
Leicester (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Justin, Faes, Okoli, Kristiansen; Skipp, Winks; Ayew, Ndidi, Mavididi; Vardy.

Arsenal attacker Kai Havertz has scored in his last four home appearances

Brentford vs West Ham predictions

West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui is under pressure after his team's shaky start to the season but they have taken four points on their Premier League travels and can pick up maximum points against Brentford in west London.

There were high pre-season expectations of the Hammers, who were among the big players in the transfer window, but enthusiasm has dwindled after three Premier League home defeats and a 5-1 loss away to Liverpool in Wednesday's EFL Cup third-round tie.

The Irons are languishing in 14th but they have a deep squad with plenty of scope for improvement and their recovery could begin against Brentford, who are only two points better off.

Brentford's 16th-place finish last season was their lowest since they won promotion in 2021, and there is the possibility of further decline unless they can find a worthy replacement for departed striker Ivan Toney.

Bees head coach Thomas Frank is an astute tactician but his injury-hit side were beaten 3-1 at Tottenham last weekend and they may have to stomach another derby defeat.

Brentford vs West Ham team news

Brentford: Christian Norgaard is a doubt and Yoane Wissa, Josh Dasilva, Igor Thiago, Rico Henry, Mathias Jensen, Aaron Hickey and Gustavo Nunes are ruled out.
West Ham: Edson Alvarez serves a one-match ban and Niclas Fullkrug is out.

Brentford vs West Ham predicted line-ups

Brentford (4-3-3): Flekken; Roerslev; Collins, Pinnock, Ajer; Damsgaard, Norgaard, Janelt; Mbuemo, Schade, Lewis-Potter.
West Ham (4-2-3-1): Areola; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Kilman, Emerson; Rodriguez, Soucek; Bowen, Paqueta, Kudus; Antonio.

Brentford vs West Ham key stat

Brentford have not kept a clean sheet in their last seven Premier League games

Chelsea vs Brighton predictions

Chelsea and Brighton have made promising starts under new management but Saturday’s showdown at Stamford Bridge will be an indicator of how much each side have really progressed.

Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea have taken ten points in four games since suffering a 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester City in their Premier League opener, while Fabian Hurzeler’s Brighton remain unbeaten after five outings having toppled Manchester United and held Arsenal at the Emirates.

Chelsea completed a league double over the Seagulls last season but they were frustrated in a 1-1 draw at home to Crystal Palace this month while they required an 86th-minute winner from Christopher Nkunku to land the spoils at Bournemouth.

So odds-on quotes look short enough about the Blues against a well-drilled Brighton side who sit fourth in the shot-stats table, having had 81 efforts in their five-game unbeaten run.

Brighton are creating considerably more chances than Chelsea, who have had only 59 shots despite an easier run of fixtures, and they should be optimistic about avoiding defeat in the capital.

Chelsea vs Brighton team news

Chelsea: Head coach Enzo Maresca has no fresh injury concerns. Reece James remains unavailable but Romeo Lavia is back in contention.
Brighton: Joao Pedro is unlikely to feature having limped off in last weekend’s draw with Nottingham Forest while Solly March, James Milner and Matt O’Riley remain sidelined. However, Brajan Gruda and Yasin Ayari are available for selection.

Chelsea vs Brighton predicted line-ups

Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; Gusto, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Madueke, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson.
Brighton (4-2-3-1): Verbruggen; Veltman, Dunk, Van Hecke, Estupinan; Baleba, Hinshelwood; Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma; Welbeck.

Chelsea vs Brighton key stat

Brighton remain unbeaten after seven matches this season.

Everton vs Crystal Palace predictions

These teams are still searching for their first Premier League victory of the season at Goodison Park and that may contribute to a glut of goals.

Everton picked up their first point of the campaign in a 1-1 draw at Leicester last weekend but they had conceded 13 goals in losing four on the spin prior to that against Brighton, Tottenham, Bournemouth and Aston Villa.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, are yet to convert some promising performances into maximum points and they arrive on Merseyside following three straight draws against Chelsea, Leicester and Manchester United.

Last weekend’s clash with United  ended goalless but Palace had conceded seven times in four outings before then and had shown a defensive vulnerability.

In stark contrast to the usual steely nature of Sean Dyche’s sides, the Toffees have been extremely leaky with no clean sheet in five, but they have at least found some scoring power.

Everton threw away two-goal leads to lose against Bournemouth and Villa and, with both teams having scored in 12 of Palace’s last 15 away league matches, this has the makings of a lively encounter.

Everton vs Crystal Palace team news

Everton: Vitalii Mykolenko and Idrissa Gueye both return after missing the draw at Leicester and Jarrad Branthwaite has overcome a groin injury. However, Nathan Patterson, Seamus Coleman, Youssef Chermiti and Armando Broja remain sidelined.
Crystal Palace: Chris Richards has been ruled out for several weeks. Matheus Franca is back in training but this match may come too soon for him. Trevoh Chalobah is in contention to make his debut but Cheick Doucoure, Rob Holding and Chadi Riad are missing.

Everton vs Crystal Palace predicted line-ups

Everton (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Gueye, Mangala; Lindstrom, Ndiaye, McNeil; Calvert-Lewin.
Crystal Palace (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Lacroix, Guehi, Chalobah; Munoz, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell; Nketiah, Eze; Mateta.

Everton vs Crystal Palace key stat

Five of Everton's last six Premier League matches have gone over 2.5 goals.

Best bet for Everton vs Crystal Palace:

Over 2.5 goals
1pt 10-11 bet365

Nottingham Forest vs Fulham predictions

Nottingham Forest and Fulham will be quietly content with how things have gone in the Premier League with the Tricky Trees unbeaten after five games and the Cottagers having suffered only an unfortunate defeat at Manchester United on the opening night.

Forest shook the league with a 1-0 success at Anfield and followed that with a creditable draw at Brighton. However, they have not managed to get over the line on their own patch yet this season, having to settle for 1-1 draws against Bournemouth and Wolves, as well as a League Cup tie that ended in a similar manner only for them to go out on penalties to Newcastle.

Fulham's only other away game saw them scrap to a point at promoted Ipswich and it may be that they don't quite have that cutting edge to come out on top of this one, even though a 3-1 home success over the Magpies last week was a source of encouragement.

It seems sensible to anticipate a close contest between two evenly matched sides and there looks to be decent value in backing a draw.

Nottingham Forest vs Fulham team news

Nottingham Forest: Morgan Gibbs-White is suspended but Willy Boly is looking to be involved. Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare remain sidelined
Fulham: The Cottagers have no fresh issues. Carlos Vinicius hopes to be in the squad after a calf problem

Nottingham Forest vs Fulham predicted line-ups

Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1): Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Anderson, Ward-Prowse; Hudson-Odoi, Sosa, Elanga; Wood
Fulham (4-3-3): Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Pereira, Smith Rowe, Lukic; Traore, Jimenez, Iwobi

Nottingham Forest vs Fulham key stat

Four of Fulham's last five away games have featured fewer than three goals

Best bet for Nottingham Forest vs Fulham:
