Premier League Bet Builder player tips

Leicester vs Arsenal

A torn hamstring is set to rule out Kai Havertz for the remainder of the season, deepening Arsenal’s injury crisis in forward areas.

With Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus also absent, youngster Ethan Nwaneri looks set for an extended run in the team, most likely on the right flank.

The 17-year-old has scored seven goals in all competitions this season despite featuring for 712 minutes, averaging a goal every 102 minutes.

Nwaneri’s key attribute is his ability to speed up the play and be direct, something that can be incredibly useful against a low block, which Leicester are likely to employ at times against the Gunners on Saturday.

The Foxes have conceded 53 times this season – only Southampton have shipped more – and they could struggle to keep tabs on Nwaneri at the King Power.

Aston Villa vs Ipswich

Bookmakers can be slow to catch up in certain prop markets when a player switches clubs and that seems to be the case with Julio Enciso at Ipswich.

The Paraguayan averaged 4.86 shots per 90 minutes at Brighton and showed no signs of reversing that trend in his first game for the Tractor Boys, taking six attempts at goal against Southampton.

Yet Enciso is still being priced up as if he is a run-of-the-mill attacker, when he is in fact an extremely shot-heavy forward.

The 23-10 on offer with Betfair and Paddy Power that Enciso has three or more shots against Aston Villa on Saturday looks worth taking, especially considering that it is much shorter with other firms.

Manchester City vs Newcastle

Newcastle have not won at Manchester City since 2000 – but they may never have a better opportunity than Saturday's trip to the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola’s champions look uniquely vulnerable this season and they were dealt another blow yesterday when it was confirmed that centre-back Manuel Akanji will miss at least ten weeks.

City's defence has been wide open at times this season, particularly on the counter, and it again proved their downfall on Tuesday as Real Madrid scored twice in the final five minutes to win the first leg of the pair's Champions League playoff tie 3-2.

The champions' travails will be music to the ears of Newcastle's Alexander Isak, who is arguably Europe's form striker at present.

The Swede has netted 17 Premier League goals this term and 14 times in as many starts in all competitions for the Toon.

Isak will be fresh after playing just a minute of the Magpies’ FA Cup win over Birmingham last weekend, and a struggling City rearguard may be powerless to stop him.
