Next Everton manager betting odds: David Moyes odds-on for Goodison return
David Moyes has been installed as favourite to become Everton boss for the second time after sacking Sean Dyche on Thursday
David Moyes has been installed as 1-3 favourite with Hills to make a sensational return to Everton following the Toffees' decision to sack Sean Dyche only hours before Thursday's FA Cup tie at home to League One Peterborough.
Ex-player Leighton Baines and club captain Seamus Coleman have been placed in charge for the game against Posh but Moyes, who enjoyed a highly successful first spell at Goodison Park from 2002 to 2013, is bookmakers' overwhelming favourite to replace Dyche.
Jose Mourinho, who is currently manager of Turkish side Fenerbahce, had been linked with the role prior to Dyche’s dismissal and is a best-priced 5-1 to take the job, while Paulo Fonseca, Steve Cooper and Lee Carsley, who played under Moyes at Goodison Park and recently managed England on an interim basis, is also prominent in the betting.
Dyche leaves Everton in 16th position in the Premier League table and only one point above the bottom three. They are 11-4 to be relegated from the top flight this season.
