Match preview
At first glance Manchester United's clash with Fulham at Old Trafford seems the ultimate dead rubber but victory for the Red Devils could provide them with a much-needed confidence boost going into this month's Europa League final.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will naturally want to rotate his squad with second spot all but secured in the Premier League but winning matches could also be important for his side's mentality.
United have lost three of their last four matches in all competitions and risk going into their European final against Villarreal on the back foot.
Already-relegated Fulham are, however, arguably the most out-of-form side in the Premier League at the moment and could represent a great opportunity to get back to winning ways.
Scott Parker's men have lost seven of their previous eight league games, most recently going down 3-1 to Southampton and their sloppy defence could be ripped apart by the hosts, who have fired 15 goals in their last five matches.
But United have also looked pretty porous at the back recently, conceding four to Liverpool in their latest assignment, and are not helped defensively by the absence of Harry Maguire.
It looks as though Maguire will miss both remaining Premier League matches and that should give Fulham, who have nothing to play for but pride, some confidence that they can get on the scoresheet if they attack this game.
Backing goals could therefore be the best way to go in this one but rather than opt for both teams to score, punters are advised to back United to win and over 3.5 goals, which also allows for a comprehensive victory for the hosts.
Key stat
Four of Manchester United's last five games have featured over 3.5 goals.
