Team news

Match preview

Southampton were good value for their 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Saturday and the Red Devils can expect another tough test at Old Trafford against the latest visitors from the south coast, Brighton.

Saints came back strongly after going behind to a Jadon Sancho goal at the weekend, creating enough chances to win the game, and there must be doubts over United's top-four prospects after an FA Cup exit against Middlesbrough and a disappointing draw at bottom club Burnley.

Brighton produced an excellent away performance to win 2-0 at struggling Watford last time out, stretching their unbeaten league run since Christmas to seven games.

That sequence includes home and away draws against European champions Chelsea while Graham Potter's men held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at Anfield earlier this season.

They have lost only one of their dozen away matches in the top flight this term and are an appealing draw-no-bet selection to compound United's gloom.

Key stat

Brighton have lost only one of their 12 away matches in the Premier League.
