Match preview

Leeds have emphatically dispelled any notion that their high-octane style would catch up with them and can round off an exceptional first campaign back in the Premier League with victory over relegated West Brom.

Marcelo Bielsa's men have had fans and neutrals alike on the edge of their seats this season, scoring 59 goals and conceding 53, as they have surged to a top-half finish.

It's been a different story for West Brom who, having been promoted from the Championship alongside Leeds, have invariably found life tough.

Sacking Slaven Bilic and replacing him with Sam Allardyce rarely looked like it would save the Baggies from the drop and with their relegation sealed a fortnight ago, Big Sam signalled on Wednesday that he would say his goodbyes after Sunday's visit to Elland Road.

Leeds were ruthless when the sides met at The Hawthorns in December, trouncing the Baggies 5-0 to highlight the magnitude of the task facing Allardyce.

West Brom have rarely been as inept since and there have even been moments to savour such as a remarkable 5-2 win at Chelsea. But a total of five wins all season tells its own story, as does a tally of 73 goals conceded.

Aside from that Stamford Bridge success, West Brom have also scored on trips to Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal this season and they have found the net in six of their last seven in the Premier League.

Leeds's approach will mean the Baggies could get chances and get on the scoresheet but Bielsa's entertainers can put on a show in front of the first top-flight crowd at Elland Road in more than 17 years.

Key stat

Over 2.5 goals has landed in seven of West Brom's last eight games.
