Fulham vs Brighton predictions

Brighton were disappointed to drop points in Friday's 1-1 Premier League draw at home to Southampton but they can make amends by defeating Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Failing to beat struggling sides is nothing new for the Seagulls, who have also been held by Ipswich (0-0) and Wolves (2-2) at the Amex this season, but they have raised their game for the tougher challenges and have taken ten points on their Premier League travels despite a really difficult away schedule.

Brighton have drawn 1-1 at Arsenal and were beaten at Chelsea (4-2) and Liverpool (2-1) despite scoring the first goal at Stamford Bridge and Anfield.

Making fast starts has been a common theme for Fabian Hurzeler's side, who have opened the scoring in five of their last six Premier League games, and they may be tough to peg back if they can get their noses in front against Fulham.

Fulham have made a solid start to the campaign and remained in the top half after Sunday's 1-1 draw at Tottenham which was least they deserved after having large spells of control and winning the shot count 14-8.

However, the Cottagers have scored no more than once in eight of their 13 league matches and their inability to make the most of spells of dominance may prevent them from pushing higher up the table.

Establishing controlling in games has been Fulham's strength but the balance of their team may be upset by suspensions to Sasa Lukic and Tom Cairney.

The duo shared midfield minutes against Tottenham but paid for their indiscipline with Lukic collecting his fifth yellow card of the season and Cairney receiving a red card after a VAR intervention.

Andreas Pereira may come back into Marco Siva's thinking but he is more offensive-thinking player than Lukic and his inclusion could reduce the home side's effectiveness when out of possession.

Brighton are not an easy side to get to grips with and they should be stronger for their trip to the capital with key defender Lewis Dunk recovered from injury and midfielder Carlos Baleba free from suspension.

The Seagulls should have a solid foundation and they possess the offensive quality to prosper. Their first-choice front four of Georginio Rutter, Joao Pedro, Kaoru Mitoma and Danny Welbeck offer various types of threats and may be key to them winning the game.

Key stat

Fulham have not kept a clean sheet in their last ten Premier League home games.

Fulham vs Brighton bet builder predictions

Brighton or draw double chance
Brighton have suffered only two league losses, away to Chelsea and Liverpool, and they can collect at least a point against the Cottagers.

Danny Welbeck to score any time
Welbeck seems to be improving with age and is as likely as anyone to be Brighton's match-winner.

Kenny Tete to be carded
The Dutch right-back has collected three yellow cards this season and his caution count may be set to increase.
