Newcastle v Watford

Three successive defeats have dragged Newcastle into the bottom half of the Premier League and their descent towards the relegation battle could continue with a defeat to Watford.

There was criticism of Newcastle's lack of summer spending and their squad has looked stretched following injuries to key men Jamaal Lascelles and Christian Atsu.

Watford impressed in their televised 2-0 success at home to West Ham – ending a three-game losing sequence – and could cause Newcastle a lot of problems on the counter-attack with the pace of Richarlison and Andre Gray.
