Chelsea vs West Ham predictions
West Ham's clashes with London rivals Chelsea tend to be lively and there should be an extra edge to Monday's meeting at Stamford Bridge.
Last season's Premier League trip to west London ended in a 5-0 rout for David Moyes's Hammers while Julen Lopetegui oversaw their 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea in September.
New manager Graham Potter will lead West Ham into action at the club where he was sacked in April 2023 after winning only 12 of his 31 matches in charge.
The cultured Potter does not come across as an aficionado of 'Green Street' but he will be well aware of the significance of this fixture for the Hammers, who are capable of causing problems for Chelsea.
The visitors merit a small investment at bigger than 5-1 with the draw no bet as their hosts have won only one of their last seven Premier League matches.
That run includes draws with Everton, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth and defeats against Fulham at Stamford Bridge, Ipswich at Portman Road and Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Enzo Maresca's men were gifted the perfect start against City as Noni Madueke pounced on a third-minute mistake from debutant defender Abdukodir Khusanov.
The Citizens roared back to win 3-1 and Chelsea, briefly rated by bookmakers as the biggest threats to Liverpool in the title race, kick off Monday's game level on points with seventh-placed Bournemouth.
West Ham have won one, drawn one and lost one of their first three league games under Potter but, with Jarrod Bowen back from injury, they have the potential to upset out-of-form Chelsea.
They beat Fulham 3-2 at the London Stadium, despite having only four shots to the Cottagers' 21, and failed to register an attempt on target in a 2-0 home defeat to Palace.
However, the 1-1 draw at Aston Villa last time out was more promising. The Hammers finished the game strongly and Potter thought his side had nicked a victory before Lucas Paqueta's injury-time effort was ruled out for offside.
After a busy start to his West Ham career, the former Brighton boss has had more than a week to work with his players on the training ground and key forward Bowen's return from a foot injury is a major boost.
West Ham are far stronger when Bowen, Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus are all available and they merit a speculative bet to extend Chelsea's poor run of Premier League results.

Chelsea vs West Ham team news
Chelsea
Enzo Maresca may keep faith with under-pressure goalkeeper Robert Sanchez although Filip Jorgensen is a capable understudy. Romeo Lavia, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Mykhailo Mudryk and Omari Kellyman are unavailable.
West Ham
Forward Jarrod Bowen is set to return to action but winger Crysencio Summerville is a major doubt. Lucas Paqueta (groin) should be fit although Niclas Fullkrug, Jean-Clair Todibo and Michail Antonio are sidelined. The Hammers hope to seal a loan deal for Brighton striker Evan Ferguson on Monday.
Probable teams
Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; James, Chalobah, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Madueke, Palmer, Neto; Jackson
