Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest predictions
Chelsea are beginning to look the part after a couple of underwhelming campaigns and Enzo Maresca's side should have too much for Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.
Midfielder Cole Palmer received all the plaudits last week for his four goals in the 4-2 win over Brighton and the Blues are taking on a team who have won just two of their seven league and cup matches this season.
However, one of those victories, a first Anfield success for the Tricky Trees since 1969, can act as a warning against complacency for Chelsea, who started the weekend just two points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.
The possible consequences of taking things easy are plain, so with Palmer and others well-rested after sitting out Thursday's Conference League success against Gent, it would not be a surprise if the home side make a fast start.
Their opening 2-0 loss to Manchester City has been the only occasion this term when the Blues have been behind at the interval and they have scored at least one first-half goal in seven of their last eight games, so take them to lead at the break and win the game.
Key stat
Chelsea have scored ten first-half goals in their last four matches
