Chelsea vs Fulham predictions

Chelsea’s five-game winning run in the Premier League came to an end as they were frustrated in a goalless draw at Everton on Sunday and their pursuit of leaders Liverpool could suffer another setback against London rivals Fulham.

That 0-0 draw at Goodison Park was a rare low-scoring fixture for Chelsea and, while they have made huge strides under Enzo Maresca this season, they look shorter than warranted against a Fulham side who have barely put a foot wrong this term.

The Cottagers are flying high in ninth and they would have been disappointed to have been held to a 0-0 draw of their own at home to struggling Southampton on Sunday.

The Saints may have been lifted by a new manager in that fixture, and prior to being held by Southampton Fulham had played out score draws at home to Arsenal and away at Liverpool, showcasing their qualities with Marco Silva at the helm.

It means the Cottagers have lost only three of their 16 league games since an opening-day defeat at Manchester United and they are one of the league’s draw specialists with seven stalemates.

Four of Chelsea’s last six league wins have been by a single goal so they are not always blowing teams away and Fulham, having drawn three of their last four away league games, may be able to battle for a point at the Bridge.

The Blues have kept only four clean sheets in their last 19 outings so the Cottagers should be able to create scoring chances, and the 4-1 about them taking a point apiece looks good value.

Six of the last seven meetings between these sides have featured two goals or fewer.

Chelsea vs Fulham bet builder predictions

Cole Palmer to score or assist
With 11 goals and six assists in 17 Premier League appearances this season, maverick Palmer looks vital to any success that Chelsea may have.

Alex Iwobi to have a shot on target
The former Gunner is Fulham's joint-top scorer with five league goals and he is averaging 1.94 shots per game, so can be fancied to hit the target.

Sasa Lukic to be shown a card
Fulham's hard-hitting midfielder has been booked six times in 14 appearances this season and has a tough task on his hands containing this dynamic Chelsea side.
