Brighton vs Nottingham Forest predictions

Two unbeaten records go on the line at the Amex as Brighton take on Nottingham Forest with both sides locked on eight points after four Premier League games.

History suggests that the Seagulls are more likely to prevail as they did the double over Forest last term, but the visitors have looked marginally more impressive in the early part of the campaign and could stun their hosts on the south coast.

Brighton beat an inconsistent Manchester United 2-1 last month and were solid in a 1-1 draw against Arsenal, but they were aided by Declan Rice's controversial red card against the Gunners, and Forest have since secured a standout success with a shock 1-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield last week.

Nuno Espirito Santo's men demonstrated all of their strengths in great fashion last Saturday, resolutely defending for long periods before introducing their flair players to snatch three points against the previously flawless Liverpool.

That defensive resilience will be required against a talented Brighton side but they may have enough to frustrate their hosts, who may be short of creativity in attack with star man Joao Pedro a doubt for this clash.

Expect Forest to dig deep once more. A fifth successive Premier League away win is certainly not out of the question with Chris Wood, Morgan Gibbs-White Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi in great form and the latter two combined for their goal at Anfield.

However, it may be worth keeping the draw on side too given the Seagulls have won three of their four home games under new boss Fabian Hurzeler, so taking Forest in the double-chance market looks the safer bet.

Key stat

Nottingham Forest have won their last four Premier League away games.

Brighton vs Nottingham Forest bet builder predictions

Both teams to score
These sides look well-matched and both teams to score, which has landed in four of the last six meetings between the pair, seems a likely outcome.

Callum Hudson-Odoi to score or assist
Last week's Anfield hero will be in good spirits, has netted three goals in his last four away games and has created two chances per 90 minutes this term.

Over 5.5 cards
Each meeting between the teams last season saw eight cards brandished and it could be another feisty affair.
