Team news

Brighton
Jakub Moder, Levi Colwill, Adam Lallana and Evan Ferguson are expected to miss out through injury, Alexis Mac Allister is suspended and Facundo Buonanette is a doubt.

Bournemouth
David Brooks, Lewis Cook, Ryan Fredericks and Junior Stanislas are all out while Phillip Billing, Dominic Solanke and Marcus Tavernier face late fitness tests. New signings Hamed Traore, Antoine Semenyo and Matias Vina could all make their debuts.

Match preview

Bournemouth’s new owners wasted no time in getting involved in the Premier League spending spree in January, signing a number of exciting young players in an attempt to beat the drop.

Their new recruits won’t have much time to bed in before this clash with one of the form teams in the division, Brighton.

The Seagulls have won five of their last seven games in all competitions, scoring 21 goals in the process.

That run has seen Brighton challenge for the European places and their price to win here, 4-11, demonstrates the gulf between these two this season.

However, eight of Brighton’s last nine games saw both teams score and Bournemouth can play their part in a high-scoring affair, albeit one that Roberto De Zerbi’s team are fancied to win.

Gary O’Neil will be hoping his new attackers Dango Ouattara and Hamed Traore can make an immediate impact but the hosts are likely to just have a class edge here.
