Arsenal vs Manchester United predictions
Back to form! No, don't stop the clocks – Oasis aren't releasing a new album to accompany their summer return, and they're not the only Mancunians mounting a comeback.
It's early days, but the signs from Ruben Amorim's fledgling Manchester United reign have been positive. The Portuguese has wasted little time in implementing his masterplan, bringing energy and a fresh direction to the Red Devils.
After drawing his first game 1-1 at Ipswich, United went through the back catalogue against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League, taking the lead before falling behind but roaring back to win 3-2.
They weren't always supersonic on Sunday but still stormed through an Everton defence whose lethargy made it look like they were experiencing a similar delay to those watching the non-televised fixture on an illegal stream.
While far from perfect, United played with greater urgency and their 4-0 victory included a brace apiece for Marcus Rashford, who seems to be rediscovering some confidence, and Joshua Zirkzee.
There's already more assurance about the Red Devils but a trip to the Emirates, where they are winless in six visits, will be the acid test of any progress Amorim has invoked.
Arsenal have overcome a shaky spell to beat Nottingham Forest 3-0, Sporting 5-1 and West Ham 5-2 since the international break, with Martin Odegaard's return to fitness seemingly inspiring their improvement and reigniting a potential title push.
The Norwegian scored the first of his side's two penalties at the London Stadium and has wasted little time rekindling his on-field romance with Bukayo Saka.
Saka converted the Gunners' second spot-kick against the Hammers to take his league tally to five goals, while he also has ten assists for the campaign.
The 23-year-old has an excellent record against United, netting three times and adding two further goal contributions against the Red Devils.
His combination with Odegaard could expose the left edge of a visiting defence shorn of suspended centre-back Lisandro Martinez and lacking the protection of Kobbie Mainoo, who also serves a ban.
However, Arsenal are leaky themselves, conceding in eight of their last nine in the league, and the Red Devils' improved attacking structure should help the visitors forge some sights of goal.
A fairer measure of any progress under Amorim might come on the second week of January when the pair reconvene in north London for an FA Cup third-round tie.
But for now, a rejuvenated Arsenal side could have a tad too much swagger for their improving visitors.
Key stat
Manchester United are winless in their last six trips to the Emirates.

Thomas Partey missed the win at West Ham but is likely to replace Jorginho in an otherwise unchanged Arsenal side. Defenders Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are both sidelined.
Manchester Utd
Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo are suspended after receiving their fifth yellow cards of the season against Everton. Defender Leny Yoro has been included in the matchday squad for the first time since signing from Lille in the summer.

Arsenal vs Manchester United bet builder predictions
Bukayo Saka to score or assist
The England man has ten league assists for the season and five goals. He also has five previous goal contributions against United.
Martin Odegaard to score or assist
Odegaard's combination play with Saka down the Arsenal right means he too could get on the scoresheet or produce the final pass in a Gunners goal.
Diogo Dalot to be booked
The Portuguese looks uncomfortable as a left-wing back and the volume of traffic expected to come down his channel makes a fourth league card of the season a likely outcome.
