Tuesday's Nations League predictions

Home wins over Poland and Scotland have put Croatia in pole position behind Portugal in Nations League Group A1, but the Poles will still believe that they have what it takes to make their presence felt in the section.

Poland limped to a 1-0 loss at Croatia in September but it could be a much more entertaining return fixture in Warsaw, where Portugal ran out 3-1 winners on Saturday.

Both teams have scored in ten of the Eagles' last 13 international games and they will always carry a threat while their attack is spearheaded by striker Robert Lewandoswki, who has scored ten times in nine La Liga appearances for Barcelona this season.

There have been goals at both ends in four of Croatia's last five matches, which includes in their 2-1 victory over Scotland last time out, and the trend may continue with Poland knowing that this is a fixture from which they need a positive result.

Spain have continued where they left off at Euro 24 in the defence of their Nations League title and they can make it ten points from four games with a commanding win over Serbia in Cordoba.

La Roja needed a late strike from Martin Zubimendi to record a 1-0 victory over Denmark on Saturday, but they won the shot count 25-3 and had eased to a 4-1 success away in Switzerland prior to that.

Serbia frustrated Spain in a goalless draw at home in September but Luis de la Fuente’s side had 21 shots in Beograd while limiting their hosts to only one effort on target, suggesting that they should get plenty of opportunities to right those wrongs now they are armed with home advantage.
