Poland vs Scotland predictions
Scotland's campaign in Nations League Group A1 began with three frustrating defeats but a couple of spirited performances at Hampden Park have boosted morale in the camp.
Steve Clarke's men stood firm in a goalless draw against Portugal last month before substitute John McGinn scored the only goal of the game in the 86th minute of Friday's clash with Croatia.
McGinn's winner gave Scotland only their second victory in 17 internationals, dating back to September 2023, and the other one was a forgettable 2-0 friendly success against Gibraltar.
The 1-0 win over Croatia, who were reduced to ten men shortly before half-time, means Scotland could still join group winners Portugal in the Nations League quarter-finals.
If they beat hosts Poland and Croatia lose at home to Portugal then both Scotland and Croatia will finish on seven points. For Scotland to qualify for the last eight, they either need to win by at least two goals, score at least three goals more than Croatia, or hope that Zlatko Dalic's men lose by two or more against Portugal.
However, Scotland kick off their final game bottom of the table, level on points with Poland, so they could also end up being relegated to League B or facing a relegation playoff.
Poland's leaky defence, coupled with the absence of star striker Robert Lewandowski, should encourage Clarke's men, who will be eager to make up for their opening 3-2 home defeat to the Poles.
Scotland battled back from 2-0 down to 2-2 in that game, thanks to goals from Napoli's Billy Gilmour and Scott McTominay, but a 97th-minute Nicola Zalewski penalty sealed victory for the visitors.
Poland's last three results were a 3-3 draw with Croatia, sandwiched between 3-1 and 5-1 defeats to Portugal, and Scotland have the attacking quality to trouble their hosts.
McGinn could return to the starting 11, although teenage understudy Ben Doak will be hard to drop, and McTominay looks a tempting each-way bet to score first.
After his goal against Poland, he scored a seventh-minute opener away to Portugal and is playing with great confidence after a fine start to his Serie A career in Naples.
