Turkey vs Wales predictions
Craig Bellamy has become the first Wales manager in history to come through his first four matches unbeaten and that solid start may continue on Saturday's trip to Turkey.
The teams drew 0-0 in September's Nations League Group B4 opener in Cardiff, where the hosts' task was made easier by a 62nd-minute red card for Turkey's Baris Alper Yilmaz.
Wales were frustrated not to break through against ten men but they swiftly made up for that disappointment, scoring twice in the first three minutes of a 2-1 win in Montenegro.
Another fast start followed on October's trip to Iceland but Bellamy's men let slip a 2-0 lead in the final quarter of the game.
Harry Wilson's penalty sealed a 1-0 home win over Montenegro, who hit the woodwork but failed to register a shot on target, and Wales are worth backing to avoid defeat in Turkey.
Vincenzo Montella's side are understandably favourites, having reached the quarter-finals at Euro 2024 and won all three of their Nations League games since the stalemate in Cardiff.
Turkey were not entirely convincing in last month's fixtures, however, scoring only once from 29 attempts at goal in a 1-0 home win against Montenegro.
They followed up with a 4-2 victory in Iceland but needed goals in the 88th and 94th minutes to extend their winning run and Wales are capable of standing firm in Kayseri.
Veteran Aaron Ramsey, who scored the opener in a 2-0 victory over Turkey at Euro 2020, remains sidelined and the withdrawal of striker Kieffer Moore is a blow for the visitors.
Tottenham's Brennan Johnson and Fulham's Wilson have both been in fine goalscoring form for club and country, though, and they should be confident of troubling an injury-hit home defence.
Clean sheets have been a rarity for Turkey, who were thrashed 6-1 by Austria in a March friendly and lost 3-0 to Portugal in the group stage at Euro 2024.
Their only shutouts in their last ten internationals came against Montenegro and Wales, who produced a promising first performance of the Bellamy era, missing a couple of great chances and having a first-half goal disallowed for offside.
Key stat
Wales have allowed only 11 shots on target in four Nations League matches.
