Nations League predictions
Austria have been going from strength to strength in recent years and their progress can continue with a victory in Slovenia to kick off their Nations League group.
Both teams were eliminated in the round of 16 at Euro 2024, but while Slovenia probably got as far as they should have, Austria's experience left them feeling slightly unfulfilled.
Ralf Rangnick's attack-minded side topped Group D – ahead of France and the Netherlands – although they fell short of their usual standards in a 2-1 loss to Turkey in the knockout rounds.
However, there should be more to come from the Austrians, starting with a triumph over Slovenia, who they have beaten in each of the pair's last three meetings.
Iceland have gone through some leaner times since their run to the quarter-finals at Euro 2016, but they were 1-0 winners over England in a summer friendly at Wembley and look a solid bet to defeat Montenegro in Reykjavik.
There are signs of another strong era on the way for Iceland, who narrowly missed out on reaching Euro 2024 due to a 2-1 playoff defeat to Ukraine.
Age Hareide's side have won four of six matches this year, including their superb success over England, which was well deserved. And they will feel confident of defeating Montenegro, who won just three of eight matches during their failed Euro 2024 qualifying bid.
