Greece vs England predictions
Injury-ravaged England have their backs against the wall in the battle to be promoted automatically from Nations League Group B2 but they can pull themselves back into contention by beating leaders Greece in Athens.
Lee Carsley would love to finish his temporary stint as England head coach on a high by leading them back to the Nations League's top tier, but he has no room for error and plans for the trip to Greece have been disrupted by a raft of injuries.
John Stones, Harry Maguire, Kobbie Mainoo and Eberechi Eze were among the players omitted from England's original squad and Carsley's hand was soon weakened further by the withdrawal of Levi Colwill, Cole Palmer, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Aaron Ramsdale.
Seven of England's starters from last month's 2-1 loss at home to Greece are unavailable and it could be argued that a team made up of England's unfit players would be stronger than the best 11 available to Carsley in Athens.
However, England have plenty of strength in depth. Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and Euro 2024 squad member Jarrod Bowen are among the replacements called into the group and they look attractively priced to get the win they need to keep the battle for first place going until Sunday's final round of matches.
Greece have performed superbly under experienced 62-year-old head coach Ivan Jovanovic, who they appointed before the start of their Nations League campaign.
They have won all four Nations League matches including a well-deserved triumph over England at Wembley when they looked better organised and hungrier than their hosts.
It was Greece's first victory over England in ten attempts and, with better finishing, might have been achieved by a wider margin.
However, it is worth remembering that the Greeks have not participated at a major tournament since the 2014 World Cup.
Their revival under Jovanovic is a fairly short-term phenomenon and it is likely to be tested by an England side who should be more focused than they were last month.
Thomas Tuchel's reign as England manager starts next year and several players will be keen to show the German their qualities and boost their chances of being involved in next year's World Cup qualifying games.
A lot of English talent will be absent in Athens but there is enough in reserve for Carsley's side to collect the three points they need.
Key stat
England have won seven of their ten matches against Greece.

Greece vs England bet builder predictions
Over 2.5 goals
Four of England's last six matches have generated at least three goals and the high-scoring trend looks set to continue.
Jude Bellingham to score any time
England are missing some talented attacking players but they can usually rely on Bellingham to do the business.
Petros Mantalos to be carded
The veteran AEK Athens midfielder has been cautioned three times in the Greek Super League this season and he looks a probable card recipient.
