Friday's Nations League predictions

It is the turn of Nations League Group A3 on Friday as Germany and the Netherlands bid to strengthen their position in the hunt for a place in the quarter-finals.

Both teams have taken four points from two games and the Germans are long odds-on to make the most of their opportunity in Bosnia, who have lost 11 of their last 14 internationals and have already been brushed 5-2 by the Dutch in this competition.

The Netherlands face a tougher test in Hungary but can prove up to the challenge in what promises to be a high-octane encounter.

The Oranje tend to live up to their name and are often involved in flamboyant fixtures, with that free-scoring affair with Bosnia and a 2-2 draw with Germany last month showcasing that trend.

Ronald Koeman's side highlighted their attacking intent on their run to the Euro 2024 semi-finals, with five of their six fixtures at this summer's finals going over 2.5 goals, and they can record another high-scoring victory in Budapest.

In fact, the Dutch have seen three or more goals scored in 19 of their 22 fixtures since the 2022 World Cup and the entertainment should continue against Hungary, who were thrashed 5-0 by Germany in their Nations League opener last month.

Turkey are also capable of producing a high-scoring success in their home clash with Montenegro, who conceded four goals in their opening two group defeats against Iceland and Wales.

The Crescent Stars built on a goalless draw in Wales with a 3-1 victory at home to Iceland last month and all five of their matches at Euro 2024, which featured wins against Georgia, Czech Republic and Austria, had over 2.5 goals.
