Friday's Nations League predictions

Denmark’s new manager Brian Riemer could not have landed a much tougher opening game of his tenure than hosting European champions Spain, but his side could get something from this Nations League clash in Copenhagen.

La Roja were 1-0 winners when these teams met in the reverse fixture last month but the Danes may be able to secure a draw from this clash.

Spain have a number of injury concerns and they will be without Lamine Yamal, Rodri, Dani Carvajal, Pau Torres and Ferran Torres.

The arrival of Riemer, a former assistant to Thomas Frank at Brentford and most recently boss of Anderlecht, could also spark an upturn in performance levels from the home team, who have picked up seven points from four games.

They have beaten Serbia and Switzerland and secured a point on the road against the latter in their most recent outing.

Denmark have drawn four of their last eight games in all competitions and a stalemate could be a preferable result for both teams. That would see Spain top the group and the home team confirm their spot in the quarter-finals.

Romania have won all four of their Nations League games in Group C2 and should be able to extend that record when they host Kosovo.

The Tricolorii reached the knockout stages of Euro 2024 and have continued their impressive form in this competition.

Romania have netted 11 times and conceded just twice in victories over Lithuania, Cyprus and Friday's opponents, who they beat 3-0 in Kosovo in September.

The Kosovans sit second in the group after beating Lithuania and Cyprus home and away, but they were thoroughly outclassed in games against Hungary, Norway and Romania prior to that, losing all three outings to nil.

Crucially, key forward Milot Rashica is missing through injury for the visitors, meaning Vedat Muriqi (28) is the only player in Kosovan squad to have scored more than seven international goals.

Without that crucial attacking threat, expect Romania to be able to make their class tell and secure top spot in the group with a win.
