Saturday's National League football predictions

Two promotion hopefuls face off on Saturday when Gateshead host Solihull Moors, and goals could be on the cards at the Gateshead International Stadium.

Both teams have been potent in front of goal, scoring 27 and 24 goals respectively, in their opening 15 matches, while neither has been outstanding at the back. Gateshead have conceded 19 times and the Moors have shipped 24 in that time.

Andy Whing’s visitors have scored in all bar two of their league games this campaign and have hit the back of the net in each of their seven away games. Gateshead have a fine home record this season winning six of seven, only failing to score in their lone defeat. As a result over 2.5 goals and both teams to score appeals.

League leaders Forest Green appear excellent value to make it five wins on the spin when they head to Woking. Steve Cotterill’s side have won four of their last five on the road and nine of their past 11 home or away.

Hosts Woking on the other hand have lost three of their seven home matches this season and are on a run of four defeats in seven games since they last took all three points.

After a slow start to life following relegation Forest Green have settled into the rhythm of the National League and should continue their fine run this weekend with another away victory.
