Liverpool went back to the top of the Premier League with a commanding 3-1 win over Manchester United at Anfield and they are 5-2 to win their first title since 1990.

It was a dominant performance from Jurgen Klopp's men who took the lead through Sadio Mane after 24 minutes before a howler from Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson let United back into the game in the 33rd minute.

The Brazilian stopper fumbled a Romelu Lukaku cross in his six-yard box and United's Jesse Lingard was on hand to slot the loose ball into the net.

Alisson was rescued, though, by a late cameo from Reds substitute Xherdan Shaqiri, who came off the bench with 20 minutes remaining.

Liverpool - who remain unbeaten this season - had been frustrated by some stout United defence but the Swiss schemer made no mistake with the two opportunities that came his way to hand the Merseysiders the win their performance deserved.

Liverpool created 36 chances on goal to United's six with 11 of them on target, while they won the corner count 13-2.

The Reds are a point clear of Manchester City who remain title favourites at 2-5 with bet365 and BoyleSports.

The defeat has piled the pressure on United boss Jose Mourinho who is 2-1 favourite with Sky Bet in the next Premier League manager to leave market.

Coral go 8-13 that Mourinho exits Old Trafford before the end of the season and he is 6-5 to still be in charge for the final game of the campaign. They make Zinedine Zidane the 5-4 favourite to replace him in the United dugout with Antonio Conte next at 6-1 and Mauricio Pochettino 7-1.

Chelsea kept up their pursuit of the leaders with a 2-1 win at Brighton but they are out to 66-1 with Sky Bet to win the league with the gap to leaders Liverpool at seven points.

Arsenal lost further ground with a 3-2 defeat at Southampton.

The Gunners are 325-1 with Betfair for the title and 13-8 with Betfred to secure a top-four finish. Saints are out to a general 9-2 to go down following their surprise win. They were 3-1 for victory in new manager Ralph Hasenhuttl's first match in charge.
