Accumulator tips and predictions for Sunday

Racing Post football expert James Milton has picked:

Lille to beat Rennes @ 10-11 with Ladbrokes

Manchester United to beat Ipswich @ 6-10 with Ladbrokes

Napoli to beat Roma @ 3-4 with Ladbrokes

Lazio to beat Bologna @ 10-11 with Ladbrokes

Total odds: @ 9.2-1 with Ladbrokes

Odds correct at time of publication

Lille vs Rennes

Lille's excellent start to the season includes Champions League victories over Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Canadian striker Jonathan David is in sparkling form and they can inflict a seventh defeat in 12 Ligue 1 games on visitors Rennes.

Ipswich vs Manchester United

Ipswich shocked Tottenham 2-1 just before the international break but that was the Tractor Boys' first win since returning to the Premier League. Manchester United scored 11 goals in four games under interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy and new boss Ruben Amorim should enjoy a successful debut at Portman Road.

Napoli vs Roma

Claudio Ranieri is back in charge of Roma but the veteran manager faces a tough start away to Napoli, who have conceded only nine goals in 12 Serie A matches. Roma, in contrast, have lost four of their last five league games, shipping 12 goals, and another defeat looks on the cards.

Lazio vs Bologna

Lazio have won six of their last seven Serie A matches, helped by a relatively soft run of fixtures, and they can continue their charge at home to Bologna. The visitors are also in solid form but are yet to beat a top-half team this season.

Football acca FAQs

What is a football accumulator (acca)?
A football accumulator, commonly referred to as an 'acca', is a single bet that combines multiple individual bets into one. Each selection within the accumulator must win for the bet to pay out, offering higher potential returns but at increased risk compared to single bets.

Can I place an acca on different markets?
Yes, you can combine various markets in an acca, including match winners, total goals, both teams to score, and more. However, most betting platforms require that selections within an accumulator are not related to ensure the bet is valid.

What is the advantage of placing an accumulator bet?
The main advantage of an accumulator bet is the potential for higher returns from a smaller stake since the odds of each selection are multiplied together. It adds excitement to watching multiple matches, as each leg of your acca needs to be successful for a return.
