Accumulator tips and predictions for Monday

Racing Post football expert James Milton has picked:

Lazio to beat Cagliari @10-11 with BetMGM

Sunderland or draw double chance vs Middlesbrough @11-20 with BetMGM

Girona to beat Las Palmas @4-7 with BetMGM

Porto to beat Rio Ave @2-5 with BetMGM

Total odds: @5.72-1 with BetMGM

Odds correct at time of publication

Cagliari vs Lazio

Lazio finished top of the Europa League standings last week and they are also going well in Serie A. They have won three of their last four away league fixtures, at title-chasing Napoli, Lecce and Verona, and should be too strong for Monday's hosts Cagliari.

Middlesbrough vs Sunderland

Injury-hit Middlesbrough look vulnerable favourites for their Championship clash with north-east rivals Sunderland. The Black Cats have lost only one of their last 11 league games and can pick up at least a point at the Riverside Stadium.

Girona vs Las Palmas

Girona have lost their last four matches in all competitions but all four were by a one-goal margin, against Sevilla, Milan, Rayo Vallecano and Arsenal. The hosts have a great chance to snap that losing streak against Las Palmas, who lost 4-0 at Elche in the Copa del Rey and 4-1 at Real Madrid in their last two away fixtures.

Rio Ave vs Porto

Porto have been in patchy form in the Primeira Liga but they can claim a comfortable away win at Rio Ave, who have conceded 13 goals in their last seven home matches including a 3-0 loss to Sporting last time out.

Football acca FAQs

What is a football accumulator (acca)?
A football accumulator, commonly referred to as an 'acca', is a single bet that combines multiple individual bets into one. Each selection within the accumulator must win for the bet to pay out, offering higher potential returns but at increased risk compared to single bets.

Can I place an acca on different markets?
Yes, you can combine various markets in an acca, including match winners, total goals, both teams to score, and more. However, most betting platforms require that selections within an accumulator are not related to ensure the bet is valid.

What is the advantage of placing an accumulator bet?
The main advantage of an accumulator bet is the potential for higher returns from a smaller stake since the odds of each selection are multiplied together. It adds excitement to watching multiple matches, as each leg of your acca needs to be successful for a return.
