Accumulator tips and predictions for Monday

Racing Post football expert Aaron Ashley has picked:

Both teams to score in Aston Villa vs Brighton @ 8-15 with Ladbrokes

Chelsea to win & over 2.5 goals vs Ipswich  @ 4-5 with Ladbrokes

Newcastle to beat Manchester United @ 13-10 with Ladbrokes

Total odds: @ 5-1 with Ladbrokes

Odds correct at time of publication

Aston Villa vs Brighton

Brighton played out a rare goalless draw at home to Brentford on Friday but both teams had scored in their previous ten matches and the goals should flow at Villa Park. The hosts are unbeaten in eight home league fixtures but they have conceded in six of those matches.

Ipswich vs Chelsea

Chelsea will be looking to respond to Boxing Day's 2-1 defeat at home to Fulham and they should have too much quality for second-bottom Ipswich, who have lost five of their last six league games. Six of Chelsea's last seven league games have featured three or more goals and this ought to follow a similar trend in a comfortable Blues victory.

Manchester United vs Newcastle

Newcastle have beaten Leicester 4-0, Ipswich 4-0 and Aston Villa 3-0 in their last three league fixtures, while also easing past Brentford 3-1 in the EFL Cup quarter-final at St James' Park, and they can heap the misery on a Manchester United side who have lost four of their last five top-flight matches and are without the suspended Bruno Fernandes.

Football acca FAQs

What is a football accumulator (acca)?
A football accumulator, commonly referred to as an 'acca', is a single bet that combines multiple individual bets into one. Each selection within the accumulator must win for the bet to pay out, offering higher potential returns but at increased risk compared to single bets.

Can I place an acca on different markets?
Yes, you can combine various markets in an acca, including match winners, total goals, both teams to score, and more. However, most betting platforms require that selections within an accumulator are not related to ensure the bet is valid.

What is the advantage of placing an accumulator bet?
The main advantage of an accumulator bet is the potential for higher returns from a smaller stake since the odds of each selection are multiplied together. It adds excitement to watching multiple matches, as each leg of your acca needs to be successful for a return.
