Wolfsburg to beat Fiorentina

Women's Champions League predictions

Qualifying for the Women's Champions League reaches the second round this week and Women's Super League giants Arsenal headline the action in their tie with Swedish side Hacken.

Arsenal start their domestic campaign on Sunday when they take on Manchester City, having allowed star forward Vivianne Miedema to join their rivals this summer.

The Gunners are 1-5 to beat Hacken first of all, though, and there is little value in that contest.

Instead, punters might want to consider former European champions Wolfsburg to beat Fiorentina.

Wolfsburg are in the qualifying phase after finishing second in the Frauen-Bundesliga last term, although they still won 17 of their 22 matches.

And they have made a solid start to the new season, taking four points from their opening two league fixtures either side of a 6-0 hammering of Hertha Berlin in the second round of the German Cup.

Opponents Fiorentina have already played two matches in Women's Champions League qualifying and were pushed close in 1-0 wins over Brondby and Ajax.

Wolfsburg have more experience in their ranks with Alexandra Popp and Marina Hegering among others in the side and they are a worthwhile bet to win at a shade of odds-on.
