Sunday's European football predictions

Milan and Roma have both encountered issues in Serie A this season but one side's problems are more glaring than the other's.

Before the final weekend of league matches this year, Milan were five points off the top six in Serie A but they have not been helped by injuries - Christian Pulisic, Rafael Leao and Noah Okafor are among those who have been sidelined.

Pulisic could return to the squad this weekend along with Luka Jovic and Ismael Bennacer and they look well placed to record an important win.

Milan's league position is not ideal but they have lost just one of their last 11 games, beating Real Madrid and drawing with Juventus as part of that run, and their only defeat came away to pacesetters Atalanta.

But for Roma, things have been more turbulent with Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Juric sacked in September and November before veteran Claudio Ranieri took charge.

They have convincingly won back-to-back games against Sampdoria and Parma but both of those fixtures were at home and they have struggled on their travels, picking up just four points from eight away fixtures, so Milan are the bet to win.

Juventus and Fiorentina are level on 31 points in Serie A and while the Viola have a game in hand, the Turin giants are worth backing when the sides meet at the Allianz Stadium.

Not only are Juve unbeaten in the league this season but they have won three of their last four matches in all competitions.

Fiorentina, meanwhile, are winless in their last three contests against Bologna, Vitoria Guimaraes and Udinese.
