Sunday's European football predictions

Brest have struggled to match last season’s heroics in Ligue 1 but they’ve been the French top flight’s great entertainers.

After a surprise third-place finish last term, Brest have won just six of their 15 Ligue 1 games this season. They’ve been beaten in six of seven away matches, conceding 18 times along the way.

Opponents Angers are outside the drop zone on goal difference and they’ve conceded 18 goals in seven home matches. The hosts’ last four at Stade Raymond Kopa have featured 19 goals in total.

Each of Brest’s last five league games have featured at least four goals so it’s worth getting behind over 2.5 at odds against.

The pick of Sunday’s European action is the Rome derby, although it’s likely to be a busier game for the referee than either goalkeeper.

The last six editions of the Derby della Capitale have produced just seven goals, but the two sides have recorded a combined 40 yellow cards and six reds.

Lazio went into the weekend with the third-worst disciplinary record in the division, so back another flurry of cards at the Olimpico.
